Why must I apply online, and how does Gallup select candidates?

At Gallup, our selection process reflects our practices and philosophies. We believe that each person thrives in an environment and a career that best suits his or her particular talents and strengths.

Applicants take the first step when they complete our secure online job application form. Once that form is complete, the applicant continues on to our online assessment. This tool helps Gallup learn about each applicant's talents and potential within a variety of Gallup positions. After taking the assessment, the applicant must attach a resume or curriculum vita or provide relevant information.

Each applicant's assessment results go directly to Gallup analysts, who compare them to the Gallup profiles of success for positions within our culture. If the results show potential for success in an available position, the applicant is contacted and scheduled for an in-depth telephone interview. This in-depth interview may be followed by in-person interviews with the hiring manager.

An important part of Gallup's application process is communicating with our candidates. All candidates for Gallup careers are informed of their application status via e-mail messages. We value the time and efforts of our applicants and recognize the importance of communicating to them.
