I provide one-on-one and group consulting solutions to senior executives about sales-force effectiveness, leadership development, associate development, workplace engagement, succession planning, customer engagement, and overall workplace productivity.
My career path at Gallup
Before coming to Gallup, I worked in the publishing industry for various business magazines. At the American Management Association, while heading up the periodicals group, I also got a chance to lead the finance and sales and marketing councils.
I went into business publishing to make a difference in the industry and to influence executives to run their organizations more progressively and effectively. Publishing gave me the opportunity to do this in a "broadcast" mode. I saw joining Gallup as a chance to do things in a more "narrowcast" and intense way that could more surely produce change.
I started at Gallup as a consultant, specifically in our selection and workplace engagement consulting areas. I helped develop our selection interviews and contributed directly to the initial rollout of our Q12 survey. I've helped launch many of our most successful client projects in the areas of selection, leadership development, and employee engagement. I also taught at Templeton College at Oxford University as part of Gallup's relationship with one of the world's leading financial services providers.
I left Gallup for a time to become the chief learning officer and vice president of talent management for a Fortune 500 company. I came back and plan to stay here because of the consistent challenge Gallup presents to be creative on behalf of our clients. I adore Gallup's culture, its entrepreneurial mind-set, and the bright and hard-working people at our organization.
Gallup's culture
What I love about Gallup is how well the company positions its employees within the organization. The openness and the intellectual curiosity are also important to me, as are the entrepreneurial spirit and high degree of autonomy.
