I gather system requirements from our internal stakeholders and design system integration architecture to ensure Gallup's systems work together to meet those requirements. My work extends to a number of projects and platforms, and my technical responsibilities include database design, software design, and performing code reviews.
My career path at Gallup
I joined Gallup when I was in school, and since graduating, I have held various job roles and positions here. I started my career as an interviewer at one of our call centers. After that I transitioned into some technology development positions, including software developer, lead developer, database administrator, and my current roles as systems architect and project manager.
At Gallup, I've had the opportunity to work on many important and exciting projects. I've spent time developing reporting systems for the Gallup World Poll, a system that uses a 1,000-plus node supercomputer running Windows Compute Cluster Server, and a system that loads, secures, and manages the organizational structure of our clients' data sets. I've also worked on internal project management systems to help manage productions workflow, a questionnaire management tool for managing questions and surveys, and an overall architecture that integrates front-end operational components to streamline deliverable automation.
Gallup's culture
Gallup associates are highly motivated and independent. The culture focuses on the strengths of associates and recognizing the positive accomplishments of individuals and the organization as a whole. The people, the work, and the mission are great.
