I am responsible for the overall performance and efficiency of Gallup's consumer interviewing center in Houston. My current role involves managing the quality and performance of the employees in the interviewing center, as well as leading several interviewing projects and managing a team of interviewers at the location. It is my job to make sure that our call center hits deadlines and produces what it is responsible for delivering to Gallup's clients each day.
My career path at Gallup
I started my career as an interviewer in one of Gallup's Lincoln, Nebraska, call centers while earning a degree in political science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am now a leader at the Houston call center, where I work with a few other interviewing managers that make up the location's leadership team. Part of my job is managing several interviewing projects for clients, which includes making sure we have the right number of interviewers conducting surveys for their projects, that the project is performing as expected, and that we execute the project as efficiently and effectively as possible. I also monitor the quality of individual interviewers' work and try to create a positive and engaging work environment our associates can be proud to be a part of.
I had fully intended to go to law school after graduating with my bachelor's degree, but as I got closer to the end of my college career, I began to realize how much I loved the workplace culture at Gallup. This is the ideal workplace for me. I am a self-starter, a self-motivator, and I make the most of the autonomy Gallup has given me to do my job right every day. My work-life balance is great, and I believe pay for performance and a healthy workplace are vital aspects of a successful career opportunity. At Gallup, I invest myself and my time in to something I believe is making the world a better place and helping people improve their lives. I love where my career path at Gallup has taken me so far, and I'm excited to see where it will take me in the future.
My hobbies
My family, my friends, and my fitness are the most important things to me outside of work. I spend a lot of time studying, as I'm earning my master's degree. I also enjoy reading, practicing yoga and Pilates, and traveling.
