I support Gallup's efforts to continue building, growing, and expanding our financial services consulting practices globally. I help drive overall revenues and profit for our division, in addition to providing members of the partner and principal teams with industry insight and expertise. This includes direct involvement with clients and prospects as well as assisting our consultants to devise strategic and tactical plans to help our clients thrive.
My career path at Gallup
Before coming to Gallup, I spent more than half of my career growing one of the largest banks in the United States. I also spent time consulting with banks throughout the country on process improvements, root cause analysis, efficiency, and operational training and development. Most recently, I was the Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, and Retail Segment Manager for a 400-plus branch network.
Having partnered with Gallup in the past, I have been impressed by the company's data, its business constructs, and the propositions it creates. I've read all of Gallup's business books, but I was completely blown away by HumanSigma and 12: The Elements of Great Managing. Concepts in these two books crystallized ideas I was trying to build for 20 years and took them beyond my expectations. I decided to join the talented team at Gallup and see firsthand how great thought leadership could challenge me.
Since joining Gallup, I have been fortunate to work with several partners to support their consulting efforts by providing industry insight and detailed analysis of the target organization. The biggest project I've encountered so far, however, deals with infrastructure development. The team has identified, researched, and documented the top 200 banking companies, top 75 insurance companies, and top 25 investment companies in the world. Also, we have created a standard presentation deck and are finalizing a powerful introductory letter for our financial services division. We are building a solid foundation for a structured approach to applying our consulting and expertise at institutions all over the world.
