Lead Interviewing Manager

Steve

Every day I go home from work and feel that I did something productive, that I have had an opportunity to do what I do best, and that I have managers and associates who care about me as a person. I am a learner at heart, and if you enjoy a stimulating environment in which you are challenged and surrounded by intelligent, achievement-oriented people and teams, then Gallup is the place for you.

I started at Gallup in 1995 as a Consumer Interviewer working part-time in college. I was drawn to Gallup because of the relationships and the value that is placed on developing your talents and working in an area of strength. As I learned more and started the interviewing process, I was fascinated with Gallup's simple, yet powerful, mission -- "discover the truth." Ask questions, record an answer, and discover ways to improve lives. I take considerable pride in our mission, and I particularly enjoy the autonomy I have in my role to fulfill this mission. I chose Gallup because of the contribution we make to the world, the integrity behind our name, the culture that values the uniqueness of each individual, and the emphasis that is placed on growth -- both personal and professional.

In my current role as Lead Interviewing Manager for Gallup's Greentree Interviewing Center, I develop and maintain a productive interviewing center. I am responsible for managing our location resources, implementing learning opportunities for our teams, and monitoring performance metrics for both the center and individual team members. I don't think that there is a day that goes by that I am not exposed to something new within Gallup that excites me about our future. Each day I am very thankful that I am given the opportunity to contribute to our growth and success.

I feel very fortunate that I found a perfect fit for my talents and that I work in an organization that allows me to do what I do best every day. My educational background includes a master's degree in human resource development from the University of Nebraska and a bachelor's degree political science from Nebraska Wesleyan University. I am currently working on my Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

I love what I do. I have a passion for learning and cultivating an environment in which people feel valued and appreciated in the workplace, and each day I have the opportunity to make this passion a reality. I love the people with whom I work, and, most importantly, I feel that I am making a significant contribution to the world.
