Creating Engagement

Creating Engagement

There is a difference between healthy, thriving, growing faith communities and those that are just going through the motions. It's a difference that can be measured -- and managed -- and maximized.

The difference is engagement -- the emotional bonds between your faith community as a whole and the individual members.

To fully energize your faith community in its ministry to the world, you must know how to measure, manage, and maximize the engagement of each member, and Gallup can help.

The ME 25

Engaged faith community members . . .

- are nearly three times as likely to be extremely satisfied with their lives
- are more than ten times as likely to invite friends to their faith community events
- volunteer more than two hours per week in their communities
- give up to three times more money to their faith communities

. . . as members who are either Not Engaged or Actively Disengaged.

As the cornerstone metric of engagement, the ME 25 identifies the percentages of Engaged, Not Engaged, and Actively Disengaged members of the faith community. Through this census-style survey, leaders are able to effectively focus their time and efforts on the strategies that will have the greatest impact on engagement within their organizations.

The ME 25 is offered only in conjunction with ME 25 Onsite Consulting and/or the ME 25 Impact Seminar.

ME 25 Onsite Consulting

ME 25 Onsite Consulting heightens the impact of the ME 25 in your congregation. During the consultation, your Gallup consultant will provide the congregational leaders, staff, and members with a basic understanding about the importance of engagement; interpret and evaluate the congregation's ME 25 scorecard; and help leaders begin developing action plans to address issues raised by the ME 25.

The ME 25 Impact Seminar

The ME 25 Impact Seminar provides the parish leader with the teaching and coaching needed to effectively use the ME 25 survey data. During this two-day seminar, which is taught and moderated by Gallup instructors, participants learn how to increase engagement as they interact with peers who face similar challenges. This gathering provides an ideal environment for the exchange of ideas and best practices related to member engagement.

The Cascading Action Plan

The Cascading Action Plan (CAP) is a framework for increasing engagement in your faith community. Developed especially for large organizations composed of several small groups, the plan communicates and connects Senior Leadership's goals and strategies through all levels of membership.
