Demographics Sampling

Almost every survey includes demographic questions. In the Gallup Panel, we have pre-screened the demographic characteristics of our panelists so you don't have to spend your valuable questionnaire space asking about them. This not only saves time and space for the key questions you want to ask, but it also allows you to target demographic groups that are important to you. The Gallup Panel's bank of demographic information includes:

  • Age (13 years and older)
  • Gender
  • Race
  • Ethnicity
  • Education
  • Household income
  • Marital status
  • Geographic location
  • Renter or homeowner

If you want to conduct a study based on employment status, Gallup also pre-screens its panelists on their employment and offers categories such as:

  • Employed full time
  • Employed part time
  • Retired
  • Unemployed

Gallup also collects information on job type, including:

  • Clerical/Office worker
  • Engineer/Architect
  • Healthcare (including nurse and physician)
  • Manager/Executive/Business official
  • Sales/Marketing
  • Small business owner
  • Teacher/Professor

For a complete list of jobs or details about any of the available demographics, please contact Gallup.

HUMAN SIGMA
In the past, companies have not applied rigor and precision to measuring and managing the "softer," human side of business. That is about to change.
