Gallup defines engaged employees as those who are involved in, enthusiastic about and committed to their work and workplace. Gallup categorizes workers as "engaged" based on their responses to key workplace elements it has found predict important organizational performance outcomes.
Weekly results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 3,500 national adults who are employed for an employer; margin of error is ±2 percentage points.
