Sofia Kluch, Ph.D.

Associate Director, Gallup Center for Muslim Studies

Sofia Kluch is the Associate Director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies, a nonpartisan research center dedicated to providing data-driven analysis, advice, and education on the views of Muslim populations around the world. In this role, Sofia assists with research in Muslim countries and provides research, programmatic, and operational direction and support. She directs and coordinates organizational resources to meet client needs and works with team members worldwide to design and implement custom research, analyses, and reporting. She also provides advanced program and evaluation guidance to ensure accurate measurement, strategic planning, and tracking of activities to meet objectives, anticipate growth, and finalize key deliverables.

Prior to joining Gallup, Sofia served as an executive officer of the Leadership Development Program within the U.S. government. She consulted with agency management on employee engagement and leadership development and provided project support and operational direction to a senior-level team. She also served as a research psychologist with the U.S. government. In this role, she designed studies, programmed Web surveys, analyzed data, wrote technical and nontechnical reports, and briefed management at all levels of the U.S. government on the results. She also assisted with developing data-driven organizational strategy and action planning for effective leadership and employee engagement. Sofia also served as a professor of psychology at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina, where her responsibilities included designing, implementing, and evaluating courses, advising students, and conducting community outreach.

Sofia received her bachelor's degree in psychology and justice studies from Frostburg State University in Maryland. She received her master's and doctorate degree in applied psychology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
