Gallup's annual update on Americans' drinking habits shows beer again edging out wine as the adult beverage of choice. The percentage of Americans who drink any type of alcohol remains stable, though the poll shows that more Americans drink on a regular basis than a decade ago. Immediate family members -- particularly spouses -- are most likely to suffer negative effects on their emotional or mental health.
