An abortion bill passed this week in the U.S. Senate would make it illegal for anyone but a minor's parents to take her across state lines for an abortion, and would appear to be in sync with American public opinion. Previous Gallup polling found Americans favoring parental consent laws, and supportive of restrictions on the ease with which a woman can get an abortion.
