Environmental Efforts in Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his chosen successor, Dmitry Medvedev, have called for environmental improvements they say are crucial to the national economy. Gallup finds that almost two-thirds or more of Russians have never voluntarily recycled or avoided products that are harmful to the environment.
