How to Change Organizational Culture With CliftonStrengths

Webcast Details

  • Gallup Called to Coach Webcast Series
  • Season 4, Episode 31
  • Learn from a presenter at the 2016 CliftonStrengths Summit how organizations can integrate strengths into their culture, and how conversations can help that effort.

On a recent Called to Coach: CliftonStrengths Summit 2016 Edition, we spoke with Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, Murray Guest. These webcasts will highlight some of the best and most popular sessions from the CliftonStrengths Summit.

Murray Guest develops effective leaders, engaged teams and sustainable cultural change through strengths-based solutions. Murray's Top 5 CliftonStrengths are Relator, Futuristic, Individualization, Communication and Responsibility. He says an organization's culture is defined by what leaders do and say, and what they encourage others to do and say within the company. A company's culture is what's left when you take out all of the policies and procedures. It's about the interactions between colleagues, as well as with customers and suppliers.

Murray helps leaders integrate strengths into their culture by emphasizing that every conversation is an opportunity to influence culture. He asks leaders, "when you walk through an office, what conversations are you having?" Because the actions of the leaders and their conversations become a big part of everyday company culture.
