Population Health Management – New Research and Perspectives

A Gallup Symposium

On May 22, 2015, Gallup will host a symposium for healthcare leaders across the U.S. to discuss the latest research and new perspectives on population health management.

Population health management brings together multiple institutions from society and government that can achieve improved outcomes. Medical organizations, government, schools, businesses and community organizations work in concert to encourage individuals take greater responsibility for their overall well-being.

America spends nearly $3 trillion on healthcare. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 70% of those costs are associated with preventable chronic health problems, such as diabetes and heart disease. Moreover, the common thread between these is obesity - and the U.S. is the most obese country in the world.

Population health management is emerging as the best hope to motivate Americans to live healthier lives, thus reducing the burden of ever-increasing costs of unhealthy behaviors. Institutions that impact society as a whole need to come together to begin formulating a plan for measuring and developing the positive interventions that form the foundation of population health management.

This symposium will bring together leaders of these institutions to learn and discuss what factors influence a life well-lived and how Americans can motivate themselves and each other to live healthier lives. We invite you to join us for this symposium on May 22, 2015, from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the 29th Floor Conference Center at 111 South Wacker Drive, Chicago, Illinois. Both individual seating and organizational tables are available. Please register using the link below. For more information, please contact Maddy Zeek at 312-288-2406.
