About Ilana
Oversees implementation of Gallup's public sector engagements and talent management and focuses on designing impactful partnerships with governments, multilateral organizations, philanthropic foundations and civil society
Ilana is a social science researcher and consultant with deep expertise in research methods, program evaluation, corporate social responsibility programs, international development and global public health.
Before joining Gallup, Ilana served as the co-director of the qualitative methods center for Abt Associates. While at Abt, she led a team of researchers working on government-funded projects for many different agencies, including the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Labor. Prior to that, Ilana led public sector and enterprise research studies for several institutions, including Deutsche Bank South Africa and the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has led major research studies and consulting engagements across sub-Saharan Africa and Asia and is skilled in cross-cultural research and performance management.
Ilana has published more than 30 major research reports, book chapters and articles, including for peer-reviewed journals and the World Bank. She is the primary liaison to the Qual360 North America annual conference for qualitative consumer insights professionals co-hosted by Gallup. Ilana is active in community affairs and philanthropy. She manages Gallup's Community Builders philanthropic program in Washington D.C. and serves on several national boards, including for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Next Generation board.
