Her career began at Wheaton College, where she worked in the Filene Center for Work and Learning. While at Amherst College, she served as the Associate Director of the Center for Community Engagement, where she focused on leadership development and building community partnerships. She has also held positions in both admissions and housing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In her current role, she determines the strategic direction for the recruiting portfolio for the Career Development Center and develops mutually rewarding partnerships between employers, alumnae, and students. She has studied with the School for International Training in Kenya, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Stonehill College, an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and an Ed.S. in Higher Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Karen is passionate about strengths coaching and helping others to discover and maximize their individual talent areas for career and life success!
