About Amanda Alcox

Amanda Alcox graduated from Merrimack College with a B.A. in Human Development and Human Services and Criminology and Criminal Justice, and a second B.A. in Women's and Gender Studies and Social Justice. She completed her M.Ed. in Higher Education in 2021. She currently serves as the full-time Merrimack Institute for New Teacher Support (MINTS) Program Coordinator in the Winston School of Education and Social Policy at Merrimack College.

Amanda was first introduced to the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment as an undergraduate student and has continued to use and love her results in both her professional and personal lives. Her favorite thing about being a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach is the ability to help other people identify their own natural talents and to become aware of how these talents manifest in their daily lives. Often times, there will be a light-bulb moment where people say, "This is totally me and this makes so much sense!" Those are always exciting moments, but she also loves the challenge of connecting the dots with unexpected results.

As a recent college graduate and master's student, Amanda is especially excited to connect with people who may be entering college or leaving college to begin their new chapters. The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment really helped her to become more aware of who she is as a person and how to work and live alongside other people. Amanda can truly say that her mindset is a lot healthier and more positive now that she has the tools to better understand her own talents and barriers as well as the talents and barriers of others.
