I spent over 28 years in global organizations, focused on leadership development and organization development. My work has been towards an Integrated Human Development Practice, which is, helping and supporting people to grow amidts their busy lives (work, life, struggles, challenges, etc...).
We often separate people into silos: coaching for goals, therapy for healing, consulting for problems, but humans don't live in silos. Our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, relationships, and performance are all connected.
Integrated Human Development is an umbrella that honours multiple methods: coaching, psychotherapy, behavioural science, neuroscience, leadership development. The emphasis shifts from the tool to the person, you. So when someone asks me, "Are you a coach or a therapist?", my reply is, "I practice integrated human development."
I use methods from both coaching and psychotherapy depending on what you need.
I did a five-year service as a Combat Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces, I volunteered as a uniformed Care Officer for first responders with PTSD in the Singapore Civil Defence Force) and an Active Listener on Voice of Health (VOH) for anyone who needs a channel to share their voice. I have my Masters in Integrated Counselling & Psychotherapy, certified practitioner in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neuroscience Coaching, Intrusive Thoughts Therapy and other related modalities.
