About Andrew Hughes

Andrew (Andy) Hughes is a thoughtful and passionate leadership coach, consultant, educator and researcher, who strives to empower others to see their potential for leadership and to make a positive difference. For more than fifteen years, Andy has worked with hundreds of students, professionals, and organizations inspiring them to perform to their best ability as the founding director of the endowed co-curricular leadership development program at Gettysburg College. Andy earned a bachelor's degree majoring in English literature from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., and master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Andy received his Ph.D. in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, researching the impact of coaching on the development of leadership identity. Hughes grew up in Broomfield, England and moved to the United States more than 20 years ago. He is an avid Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club supporter and lives in Harrisburg, PA with his wife Annie and dog Shelby. One of his top strengths is developer and strives to help others see the potential in themselves.
