About Jody Rodgers

Let’s cut to the chase: work is tough. Navigating your career is tough. Communication and relationships with coworkers can be tough. Being a manager is definitely tough. Work often feels like playing a complex game without a rulebook.

In my twenty-plus years in the tech industry, I had the opportunity to work at four publicly-traded companies, cofound a startup, and manage teams across the globe.

Through those experiences in my career, the only thing I have seen that can directly address some of the many challenges of work is understanding their innate talents, and consciously working on and applying them. Using your talents and strengths frequently with intention can change the dynamics of work. You realize that you had the missing rulebook all along.

When you're working on a team where everyone’s strengths are known, you quickly see how those strengths complement each other. Leaders can quickly recognize opportunities for their team members' growth by amplifying strengths. They recognize the possibilities of planning and executing based on what each person excels at. It also highlights the potential within people; often waiting for the right project or colleague to team up with to shine.

About me:

20 years in the software industry (Fortune 500 to startups) and 15 years of global management experience.

I’m available to help:

• Individuals understand their talents and strengths. We’ll identify opportunities to develop these strengths, but also identify how they can be applied to take action on current projects or challenges.

• Provide strength training for managers and their teams via workshops, group exercises, and one-on-one coaching services
