Joe Lara is a leadership coach, consultant, and doctoral researcher pursuing a PhD in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University. With more than two decades of experience in military and organizational leadership, his work focuses on servant leadership, virtue ethics, leader formation, and leadership as a way of being in complex environments. He has coached hundreds of individuals and teams through leadership development, strengths-based coaching, and purpose discovery. Joe is the founder of Find The X LLC and also serves as a part-time trainer with Simon Sinek’s Optimism Company, partnering with individuals and organizations to cultivate ethical leadership, presence, and human flourishing.
My passion for learning and development stems from a fulfilling military career, where I trained and deployed alongside Navy SEAL teams as a code-breaker (Cryptologist) and a tactical information operations expert. I learned from some of the most elite people on the planet how to "𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗫" in any situation and how to create environments where people feel safe and can be better than yesterday. Today, I leverage my expertise and credentials as a certified Gallup Strengths coach and a YouSchool guide to create impactful and engaging learning experiences that empower people to discover and live out the best version of themselves.
