Dr. Sharon H. Porter (AKA Dr. Sharon) has served as an educator for over 25 years. Currently, she serves as a Leadership Development Coach and the Assistant Principal Induction Program (APIP) Coordinator where she assists in the development of novice assistant principals in a large urban school district in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Prior to her current role, Sharon served as an elementary and middle school principal in North Carolina and Maryland. Sharon has also served in many other roles in public education including elementary and middle school classroom teacher, Instructional Coordinator, Test Development Specialist, and Regional Instructional Specialist.
Sharon is the CEO and Owner of Perfect Time SHP LLC, Coaching and Consulting Firm, the Founder of Global Relationships Igniting Networks and Development (GRIND) Entrepreneur Network, where she provides networking and development opportunities for entrepreneurs with sole proprietorship or partnerships, Creator and Host of the Write the Book Now! Interview and Podcast Show.
Sharon earned a Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) in Elementary Education at Winston-Salem State University (1991), a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum & Instruction at National-Louis University (1998), Administration & Supervision Post Graduate Certification at the Johns Hopkins University (2000), and an Educational Specialist (Ed. S.) degree at Walden University (2012) and a Doctorate of Education (Ed. D.) in Educational Leadership & Policy from Howard University. Sharon holds a NAESP National Principal Mentor Certification and is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach
