Sobre Tom Floyd

Biography

I am a seasoned executive coach and trusted advisor to high-growth companies looking to build cultures that focus on learning. I am also the founder of Flouracity, a professional development company that helps managers grow in their careers, leaders flourish in their roles, and people become the best version of themselves. I believe creating spaces that value growth requires us to lead by example, showing care for our teams, the people within them, and ourselves. I’ve learned being vulnerable isn’t easy for most of us, asking for feedback takes courage, and doing it regularly accelerates our effectiveness. I love seeing the look in someone's eyes when they discover the answer they were seeking was ultimately within themselves.

I currently have a variety of clients at all levels in industries including e-commerce, healthcare, hospitality, media, retail, and tech.

My approach

Coaching is ultimately about a change you're looking to make. What's tricky about change if it was easy, you would've made it already.

In my 1:1 work, initial conversations focus on understanding this change and identifying goals for our work together. From there, our sessions are more structured than unstructured. You are in the driver's seat and set the goal for each conversation. I also leverage CliftonStrengths as a tool to help you gain more awareness and insights about yourself, which is also applied within our work together.

Overall, I take a down-to-earth, personable approach in my interactions with clients. While coaching can feel like serious business, I don't always believe we have to take ourselves so damn seriously. If you're willing to bring self-awareness, a healthy dose of humility, and a little humor to our conversations, I can provide the questioning, listening, and feedback to get both of us exploring the beliefs, obstacles, and patterns that are holding you back.
