Question & Answer

Q: What do you do at Gallup?

A: In my role, I help organizations create exceptional workplace cultures where their employees are positive, innovative and get to do what they do best. In my role, I sell courses that certify individuals or teams to become Gallup-Certified Strengths Coaches. Partnering closely with internal team members, I ensure that we're delivering the most exceptional service that we can to our clients.

Q: How do you live out Gallup's mission of changing the world every day?

A: I think changing the world starts with small steps. I genuinely want my clients to be as engaged and excited to come into work as I am, so even something that may feel minor, like answering a simple question, feels bigger because I know that I've had an impact on their day. I lead with Developer(opens in a new window) and thrive on knowing that the courses I sell help people live their best lives. I never feel like I'm just clocking hours or selling a product at my job. I feel like I'm truly changing the world.

Q: What's a typical day like at Gallup?

A: Every day is different, which is something I value about my role. While the specific tasks or activities I do change daily, I'm always learning more about the mission of the organizations I work with to figure out how Gallup can partner with them to make the most difference for their business. I also co-lead complimentary learning events that outline strengths and engagement initiatives.

Q: What made you want to join Gallup?

A: After having a conversation with an employee at Gallup, I really saw myself having a career here. When I came in for my interview at Gallup, my future manager said something that stuck with me: I would get to do what I do best every day. In my role, we all have the common goal of helping clients incorporate strengths and engagement into their business, but we all have a unique style of doing that. Gallup not only encourages that but supports it.

Q: What's it like to join Gallup?

A: Being a new associate at Gallup is so much fun because everyone wants to get to know you. We have a pretty robust onboarding process, and over 12 weeks, you meet with many people in different roles across the company. There are also learning modules, group get-togethers, one-on-one meetings with your dedicated learning leader and so much more. At Gallup, they set you up for success because they want you to be your best.

Q: What qualities do you need to be successful at Gallup?

A: You need to be passionate about Gallup's mission to change the world. You also need to have that internal drive to succeed and be open to trying new opportunities and taking risks.

Q: What are your favorite parts of your job?

A: The people are easily my favorite part of working at Gallup. My team is incredible, and that feeling of inclusiveness extends throughout the organization. Everyone that I've met at Gallup is so welcoming and talented. Beyond my internal network, I love the clients I get to partner with. They are truly some of the best people. I feel so fortunate that I'm able to help them reach their potential.

Q: What are three words you'd use to describe what it's like to work here?

A: Rewarding. Collaborative. Entrepreneurial.

Q: What makes working at Gallup unique?

A: Gallup encourages me to be involved in so many different things besides just my client work. They create opportunities for me to volunteer in our community and participate in team sports intramurals. They have this great focus on wellbeing that extends into financial, social, purpose, physical and community initiatives.

In other sales roles, it can feel like you're working against everyone. But this isn't true at Gallup: We're all in this together, and we all want to see each other do well. Being a part of a culture and environment where everyone pushes each other to do their best and everyone is really rooting me on is just exceptional.
