Whether you're a high school student beginning to explore what's next, a young professional finding your place in work and life, or a team seeking greater understanding and engagement, strengths discovery can create clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of contribution.
I work especially with youth, next-generation leaders, and teams to help people understand how they are naturally wired, recognize the value they bring, and apply their talents with greater intention.
Through ACTIVATE, my CliftonStrengths-based program for high school juniors and seniors, students gain language for who they are, build confidence in what they bring, and begin connecting their strengths to relationships, education, work, and future possibilities. My work with young professionals continues that journey, helping them navigate decisions, direction, confidence, and the transition into meaningful work and adult life.
With teams and organizations, I create interactive strengths experiences that help individuals better understand how they naturally contribute, communicate, solve problems, and work with others.
Rooted in faith and purpose, my approach recognizes talents as God-given and focuses on developing them into strengths that can be used with intention and impact.
Offerings include ACTIVATE for high school students, young professional workshops and coaching, one-on-one strengths coaching, team development, and group presentations.
About Brenda Jochum
Brenda Jochum is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach with a Master’s degree in Youth Development from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, she has spent much of her career working with college students, interns, employers, and emerging professionals as they explored career direction, developed confidence, and prepared to contribute in the workplace.
Today, through Strengths Connection, Brenda brings that experience to high school students, young professionals, individuals, and teams. She is especially passionate about reaching young people earlier, before they feel they need to have everything figured out, and giving them language to understand who they are and the value they already bring.
Her ACTIVATE program introduces high school juniors and seniors to CliftonStrengths through an interactive, multi-session experience that helps students connect their natural talents to everyday life, relationships, education, career exploration, and future decisions.
Brenda's top CliftonStrengths themes, Connectedness, Responsibility, Ideation, Belief, and Learner, shape a purpose-driven approach to her work. She creates space for discovery, meaningful conversation, and those "ah-ha" moments when people begin to see themselves and their possibilities differently.
Across her coaching, workshops, and team experiences, Brenda's goal is simple: to help people gain greater clarity in who they are, confidence in what they bring, and the ability to contribute with purpose.
