How can leaders overcome the current economic headwinds to maximise company productivity and growth? GDP growth in Southeast Asia slowed considerably in Q1 2025 due to global trade volatility and economic policy uncertainties. And many countries in the region are revising their 2025 growth expectations. For example, Singapore has modified its projected 2025 GDP growth downward, from 1.0% to 3.0% to between 1.5% and 2.5%.
In this uncertain economic environment, what is the state of workplaces in Southeast Asia? According to Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace: 2025 Report, nearly three-quarters of employees in the region are not engaged or are actively disengaged. For leaders, this presents both a challenge and an opportunity to drive company growth and productivity by boosting workplace engagement.
