Gen Z Wants to Do Good: How Helping Others Supports Meaning and Wellbeing

In partnership with the Making Caring Common project at Harvard University and the Walton Family Foundation, new Gallup research examines how Gen Z views meaning, purpose and helping others in both their personal and professional lives.

Based on a nationally representative survey of more than 2,400 Gen Zers, the study explores young people's aspirations to positively impact others, their career priorities, the extent to which they currently feel they make a difference, and how parental influence shapes these attitudes and decisions.
