Voices of Gen Z: The AI Paradox

In partnership with GSV Ventures and the Walton Family Foundation, Gallup surveyed Generation Z to track the evolving way in which young people are engaging with artificial intelligence. Gen Z’s relationship with AI is growing more complex as these tools spread further into daily life. Many young people recognize AI's role in their future education and careers. Yet their overall sentiment is shifting; excitement is dropping, while the share reporting anger toward these tools is on the rise.

Students are also becoming more cautious about how AI should be used in schools, and employees are increasingly uncertain about its impact in the workplace. Even so, most Gen Zers acknowledge that AI will be a critical part of their academic and professional futures.
