Webcast Details

  • Gallup Called to Coach Webcast Series
  • Season 2, Episode 34
  • Gain insights on coaching from a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach -- one of the first from India -- who is also an accomplished cricket coach.

On a recent Called to Coach: India Edition, we spoke with Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach Murali Krishnan.

Murali first took the CliftonStrengths assessment while working at a previous job. He says as soon as he saw his Top 5 strengths, he was astonished at how accurately they described him.

As a Level Two cricket coach, Murali has a knack for coaching, but wanted to expand his coaching repertoire into the realm of personal development through strengths. In early 2014, Murali attended the Accelerated Strengths Coaching course in India, becoming one of the first Gallup-Certified Strengths Coaches in the country.

Murali says that people will occasionally come to him for strengths coaching and tell him they want to learn more about their weaknesses. He immediately interjects, explaining that although they should be aware of their weaknesses, they must not dwell on them. The whole philosophy around strengths-based development is that by focusing on your natural talents, you will achieve far more success than by trying to home in on your weaknesses.

To learn more about Murali and his coaching experiences and expertise, watch the full video above.

Murali Krishnan's Top 5 CliftonStrengths are Strategic, Maximizer, Individualization, Self-Assurance and Positivity.
